Here I am again and still not enough time to scratch myself!! I have been constantly training staff in the wonders of PANDORA for about 3 months now and feeling the strain. Procedures have been a major concern and I'm still thinking about creating a wiki for some of them. But that will have to wait till I'm not training.
Even though my work with PANDORA needs a faily high amount of knowledge about what's happening on the web, just keeping up with day-to-day work let alone exploring the new and emerging technologies is a fulltime job.
The RSS feeds look interesting to help me keep some semblance of order in my chaotic life at the moment.

Wikis and procedures

Another week with too much to do! Maybe I need a time management course??
I've just done the wiki week and found it very challenging. Being involved with training and procedures the idea of using a wiki for procedures is a very fascinating idea. The idea of fluid procedures and getting ideas for improvements of procedures from the people who use them is great!! The review of procedures now is so slow and cumbersome that any improvement in the 'procedure for procedures' would be fabulous!!

What a couple of weeks this has been! I'm finding it increasingly difficult to fit the Learning 2.0 in to my week. I have been training LTs into the mysteries of PANDORA and what with that and meetings in the morning (so far 1 each morning this week!!), time just seems to fly.
I am finding this experience quite fascinating. I don't think I would have had the time (or made the time) to explore this new world if left to my own devices.
One thing I do to de-stress myself at work is to look at some of my holiday photos. Here's one I took in Victoria in 2007 of a beautiful old gum tree near the Ottway ranges.

Introduction

Hi everyone!
Welcome to my Blog! I am a 'virgin' to blogging so forgive me any faux-pas!

I hope to be able to keep up with my teenage daughters who are always accusing me of being old! As I have always worked in some capacity with computers since I first began work,(33 years ago!!) I find this a bit off-putting.

I have yet to really investigate the world of blogging as I don't use the computer a lot at home (teenage daughters!!) and don't get the time at work! And as I am always on the net for work that I do get tired of it when I am home. I prefer to do manual time occupations at home for relaxation such as knitting and cooking but will try to give some time to blogging!!
